  • Locally made Urban Stead Misty River Camembert cheese (or your favorite from your local store)

  • Store bought flat bread (as a short cut)

  • Olive Oil

  • Sweet Onion

  • Sage Leaves

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Spicy Honey

*determine amounts based on how many you're serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450

  2. Brush flatbread with olive oil grill in pan until marks appear.

  3. Slice Misty River cheese very thin

  4. Remove core from apple and slice very thin

  5. Slice one sweet onion very thin and sautee in olive oil over med heat until soft.

  6. In shallow pan heat olive oil until ripples appear and fry sage leaves until they become crispy (just a few seconds!) and drain on a paper towel.

  7. Now we assemble the flatbread

  8. Place very thin pieces of misty river cheese on the flatbread.

  9. Place thinly sliced apples on top of the cheese.

  10. Next, place sauteed onion on the flatbread, the intention is not to cover the whole flatbread but to place items to where each bite is interesting.

  11. Next place the fried sage leaves on top.

  12. Put into oven for 3-4 minutes, we are just warming through, not cooking.

  13. Sprinkle with Salt and pepper and a drizzle of Habanero-infused local honey to taste

  14. Cut and serve

  15. Enjoy!
