Whipped Brie Thanksgiving Appetizer!

Updated: 7 days ago

I am so excited to share this trending Whipped Brie recipe — it’s the ultimate easy Thanksgiving appetizer! We’re taking an already decadent cheese and making it downright irresistible. I didn’t think Brie could get any better, but this version proves me wrong. Best of all, it’s quick to prepare and can be made ahead, so you can pull it out right before guests arrive and instantly impress.

Ingredients

8 ounce wheels of brie or camembert cheese -cold

3 ounces of european or irish butter-room temperature

4 tablespoons of heavy cream-room temperature

Toasted baguette, sliced

That Dam Jam

or

Honey

1/3 cup toasted and chopped nuts of your choice

Step one

Shave the rind off of the cheese (it is easier to do when the cheese is cold) Then let the brie come to room temperature for about an hour. As you know many people do not like the rind of brie, but me I am weird and I love it. I am saving these little bits for snacks or to add to sauces or or soups, don't waste these flavor bombs!!

Step two

Cut the brie and butter into cubes.

Add brie and butter to a mixing bowl and use the  whisk attachment and mix for one minute. Scrape down the bowl and add cream and whisk for 3-4 minutes until no lumps remain in the delectable creamy butter cheese mixture and it is fluffy.

Step three

Remove from the bowl and place on a lovely bowl or platter.

If you want to be fancy you can use a zip top bag and pipe the brie onto your platter to make it more visually interesting. I would put the whipped brie in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up a little before piping.

Step four- wait until your guests arrive to top the brie

Top the creamy whipped brie with That Dam Jam or honey and flakey sea salt and chopped toasted nuts.

Serve with crispy baguette slices.
